What’s with the mushrooms?
The word “Soma” is a colloquial expression for Sonoma County that originated from a bunch of mushroom nerds (Sonoma County Mycology Association). While searching for a logo to represent our company, we thought of our home roots and our mushroom friends. From our search, we found that the mushroom has a lot of qualities that we were looking for in a company. Connected to a community, pervasive in all parts of our world, and with the ability to grow and overcome with uncanny resiliency, the mushroom encompasses a lot of what we are looking for as a company.
